Dark Chocolate Toffee Brownie Bark

I have made my fair share of brownies.
We’ve had fudgy flourless brownies
Avocado Brownies
Brownie oatmeal cookie bars
and Biscoff Brownies
I love a thick fudgy brownie, where the inside is almost a bit under-done, but the crackly edges are my favorites. So I’m surprised it has taken me this long to try brownie bark. Basically, the entire pan is full of edge pieces {now there’s no need to hoard the corners}
Lucky for me I had a stash of dark chocolate in the pantry thanks to Kallari just waiting to be used.
I started with this recipe that I found at King Arthur Flour
using a blend of 70% and 75% dark chocolate to replace the chocolate chips {but feel free to use what you already have at home}
I know I have said it before, but this may be my new go-to brownie recipe.
Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup AP flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 TBSP cocoa powder
- 1 cup of chopped dark chocolate {or chocolate chips} I used a combination of 70% and 75% cocoa
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of heath toffee bits
Instructions
- combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder {set aside}
- in a small saucepan melt the butter and chocolate {let cool slightly}
- beat the egg, egg white, and sugar until frothy
- add the vanilla, and the melted chocolate
- slowly add in the flour
- stir just until all of the ingredients are incorporated
- line a jelly roll pan with parchment
- spread the brownie batter to cover the entire bottom of the pan {a very thin layer}
- sprinkle on the toffee bits
- bake at 325 for 20 minutes
- remove from the oven and cut {I recommend using a pizza cutter}but do not separate the pieces
- return to the oven and bake an additional 5 minutes
- cool completely and break into pieces
With all of the mini candy bar versions available, I see MANY varieties ahead.

Hi! I would love to try your recipe but I don’t have any toffee. Is there anything else I could use that would make it work?
Thanks!
you could use any type of chopped candy on top - peanut butter cups are delicious

Thank you for sharing your recipe! When I was slicing the brownies on the 20 minute mark, my husband and 6 year old wanted to try (it had smelled delicious) and they couldn’t stop eating! We barely had any left to go back into the oven for the last 5 minute crisping. Definitely my go to recipe frm now on!
