you won’t miss the flour in these extra fudgy flourless dark chocolate brownies
I have a certain weakness for brownies.
I always have.
As a kid, they were my favorite treat
hands down.
I’m pretty sure my kids feel the exact same way.
I don’t make them very often,
but when I do,
they disappear in a flash.
These babies are
SERIOUSLY fudgy
which is exactly what I was looking for,
and with no butter
no flour
and dark chocolate,
I can almost trick myself into thinking that these are a good for you treat,
{I said almost}
these flourless dark chocolate brownies have become a family favorite, and I’m pretty sure you’ll family will love them too.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of dark chocolate chunks {or chips}
- 1/2 cup of coconut oil

- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup of almond meal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- melt the chocolate chunks and the coconut oil over medium heat
- {set aside}
- in the bowl of an electric mixer {fitted with the whisk}
- whisk together the eggs and the sugar
- gradually add in the melted chocolate
- stir in the almond meal, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla

Trust me,I don’t have anything against flour,
{bread queen here}
but if a chewy, fudgey brownie is what you’re after…
this is THE recipe.
Enjoy!
OMG Heather! These totally rock. I cannot wait to make them!
awe….thanks! I was SO surprised by how good they turned out:)
Pinning! Omg. Wow. HEATHER! They look amazing!
No butter, no flour. I was like please, no, not chickpeas in them. Whew ?
So is this your fave brownie recipe of all time? Love that you used coconut oil, too. I assume it’s discernible, but barely…?
I haven’t gotten on the coconut oil bandwagon yet, but with all that chocolate happening up there, I’m going to have to try this recipe.
This is just the sort of recipe I was looking for! Will be bookmarking this to make later… thanks!
wow…thanks so much!
These look perfectly rich and fudgy! Love that you used coconut oil!
These look great. I have recently decreased our flour consumption, but I still need to take care of that sweet tooth. ?
Pinned, Saved, and drooling! Love the sound of this one. I’m on a diet and brownies are sounding so good right now. Thanks.

I want to make the flourless brownies, but I would like to add some baileys to it ? How would I adjust the recipe? Thanks for your help.
Hi Paula…I love baileys in brownies, but never tried it with he flourless. Depending on how much you want to add, you could simply add just a bit less coconut oil, or add a bit more almond meal to make up for the extra liquid. Please let me know how they turn out.
replace the vanilla with baileys?
YUM
I made these brownies this weekend for my church small group and they turned out delicious! One of the ladies in our group is gluten-free, and I felt bad always making something everyone else liked but she couldn’t eat but I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a dessert that would please the rest of our quite picky group. Thankfully, everyone enjoyed them and I’ve even passed the recipe on to my gluten-free gal for her to use in the future!
that’s wonderful! Thank you so much for letting me know

These are fabulous! I used semi-sweet chocolate chips with Penzeys Natural High Fat Cocoa Powder (very dark) and Mexican Vanilla, and added some pecans. Had to bake a little longer. If you can’t wait for them to cool completely, use a plastic knife. Wow!
yeah!! that makes me SO happy to hear!

Holly macaroni ! 1 cup of sugar …….
i just made these tonight & they were utterly amazing! I replaced the almond meal with coconut flour though because I didn’t have almond meal on hand. Then I made a raspberry sauce & served them with that & Honey goat cheese! Yum! The batter alone was incredible!
wow, those sound SO good! I may just have to try coconut flour today. SO glad you enjoyed them
do not have almond or coconut flour, what can I substitute with? flour and how much?
if you ar not using the almond or coconut flour, you could try oat flour in the same amount, but I have not made them this way
